Jonah's One

Where has this year gone??  Maybe the fact that I haven't slept much this past year or the fact that I had 3 kids under the age of 3, but time just keeps moving faster:(!!
One year ago today, I was scheduled for my induction...almost 41 weeks pregnant again, with no signs of labor!  We called the Hospital at 6:30am and they told us we had a room and could head on in!!  Yes!  Let's get this party started and meet this little one, I was beyond ready!!  As we were halfway to the hospital, they called and said 3 women just came in and took the rooms, WHAT!!  Seriously!!  I got put on the waiting list and was told they may not take me:(  Tears flowing down my face, because I was ready to be DONE!!  I have really easy pregnancies, very EASY compared to most women.  I have never been sick, never really get too uncomfortable, however with this sweet little one, I was exhausted to say the least!!  So we went to Becky's house refusing to go home and they said we could call them at 10 am to see if they had a room...no room at 10, no room at 12, finally at 1:30 they called and said come in!!  Luckily I had a Dr. who was willing to induce in the afternoon(I think because my last labor and delivery, with Lily, was so quick after being induced).  We got checked in, sent me to my room, broke my water at 2:30 and we walked and walked!!  Finally contractions started at about 4:30 or so!!  Once they start, it is smooth sailing for me...with no drugs, I can move around and gravity just takes toll!!  The contractions weren't very strong until about 6:30, then they were good ones, but lots of breaks in between them so I thought it would still be a while.  Once they got stronger, my nurse wouldn't let me leave the room because I go so quickly.  She decided to check me and it was go time!!  I started pushing and this baby wasn't coming!  I looked at Luke and said, "How BIG is this one, I don't think I can get it out!"  Anyway, about 10 minutes later, a beautiful baby boy entered this world!! Jonah Fredrick Miller 9lbs 9oz 22 in long!!  We can't imagine life without him!!  He is loud, silly, full of energy, so sweet, and fills our life with so much joy!!  It has been a crazy last year, but what a blessing of a year it has been!!  We praise the Lord for giving us this sweet baby boy to raise!!  Love you more than words can say, my sweet Jonah Fredrick!!

I am not only bad at posting pictures, I am horrible about uploading them...here are a very very very small selection of Jonah's 1st year!!  Can't wait to see what the Lord has in-store for you this next year!!

So it's been a while...

I been meaning to put pictures up and had things on my mind to write about, but I seriously did not realize it has been a month...after saying that, I have hundreds of pictures to choose from in the last month!!  I will stick with some outdoor fun at home pictures and since Luke is now done for the summer, maybe I will have some time to upload my camera from the past 3 weeks:)!!  These are all from early May...Enjoy
Mental note, when teaching a 1 year old to use a spray bottle, use plain water, not colored:)

Lily enjoyed painting the deck more than the plexi glass

A Picture Post...

Our last few weeks have flown by but here are some pictures from 2 weeks ago of the kids and their activities:)  We went to MN last weekend but I have not uploaded those pictures!!  The kids had a great time as usual and my favorite memory of the weekend is my Dad and Isaac driving the four wheeler up and down the hill to the lake, fishing, throwing rocks in the lake and so on in 40 degree weather while it was raining!  My Dad is a good sport to do that with Isaac and let's just say, they had a BLAST!!!
 Planting Cherry Trees

 Planting flowers:)

Water wall (Since they LOVE to pour)
This is how Jonah didn't get HFM, he was on the table for over a week and I used a few bottles of hand sanitizer in that time as well:)
 They love to read!!

 Using the Bumbo:)
Seriously BEST BUDS!!  I LOVE to watch them play and interact together!!  We always say, the best gift we ever gave Isaac was Lily:)!!!

Life is a dance...

When you become a parent, you know that you are going to encounter tough times.  Life is not always perfect, children misbehave, get cranky, become sick, pop teeth and so on.  Even though you go through these times, they are always learning by the examples we are setting for them.  I am a very laid back person, I usually just go with the flow and walk my children through their struggles peacefully and try to teach them appropriate ways to handle situations and treat others, including their siblings how they want to be treated.  It usually doesn't bother me if someone is frustrated with something or upset over something because these are all learning situations and it gives me a chance to teach them.   This past week, however, I have come to a breaking point!  I don't remember ever getting to this point before, maybe I have and have just chose to forget about it, who knows.  Not because I have 3 young children, not because I rarely ever get a break, but because of a little sickness called Hand Foot and Mouth!  Have your kids ever had it??  I don't wish it upon anyone, especially when they have an infant they are trying to keep from getting it!  Yes, I know there are far way WORSE things out there to be going through, but when your usually well mannered, well behaved kids are whining, screaming, and throwing fits all day it leads to a very stressful day(s)!!  There are only so many times you can emphasize with them because they just flat out don't feel good, are miserable, not sleeping the greatest and have sores on their bodies!!  Did I mention I got it myself(a very mild case of it) but still it is exhausting when you put all of this into a pot!!  I am praying they wake up in the morning our happy children that I know they are and we can go back to having enjoyable days!!  I did not write this for a pitty party, because all of us parents go through these times and have sick kids, but more so to remind myself to truly appreciate those good, fun days we usually have and also when they are teenagers and we are not seeing eye to eye I can at least be thankful I am not listening to them scream all day.  They will probably just be mad and sit in their room peacefully, right???:)
