I am 110% biased of my children, I realize this, but my heart melts multiple times a day listening to my 3 year old(almost 4). A few quotes from the past few months that have really stood out to me and amaze me what he can come up with.
As he is laying down for a nap, "I am going to pray for Daddy's foot to get better from the needle in it" (Luke stepped on a needle earlier in the day)
Becky gave him a card with money in it for Christmas, "Mom, money! I need to give this to Jesus"
"Are Lily and I just playing so nice together"
What would you like for your birthday, "I will like whatever I get"
"Why am I not using the best words" I don't know Isaac, why are you? "Because I am not making the best choices right now"
While playing store, Isaac the clerk, I was the shopper. Okay sir, how much do I owe you..."It is all free, so you can have money to buy other things."
They say the average 3 year old asks 250 questions a day. Isaac is not your average 3 year old! I was actually going to count one day, but I am guessing his is around 400 questions!! He is so curious and inquisitive about the world!! On those days when I don't have the energy left to answer for the 50th time why or when the bigger clothes in the closet are going to fit him or when will he get big enough to be able to wear them I try to remember this quote...
"Listen earnestly to anything your children want to tell you, no matter what. If you don't listen eagerly to the little stuff when they are little, they won't tell you the big stuff when they are big, because to them all of it has always been big stuff." - Catherine M. Wallace
Isaac, we are so thankful for your caring heart of Gold!!
